Planning Ahead- Autumn 2010
Summer Recess: Christian Broadcasting, Youth Outreach and More
Our students have plenty to keep them busy over the Summer recess! During the Czech holiday season (which runs in some shape or form for the whole of July and August), there will be no official meetings of Potenciál, but they will be working in groups on their various developmental projects as well as the challenge to study and report upon the development of their own spiritual potential in the service of their local churches.
The organisations they have chosen to contact and study over the holiday period are quite exciting, including a Christian school, a youth outreach initiative, caring for the needy and a Christian broadcasting company. There is so much potential for widening their experience and vision. Let’s pray that it will be a good time of hearing the Holy Spirit say, ‘Have you seen this? What about you getting more involved?’
Back at base: already we are reaping rich rewards in the reports we are getting on the way lives are changing and new heights are being reached. But that is obvious anyway, from the way in which we see God at work when we are together. Click on the title to read more...

Potenciál: Halfway! May 2010
This Saturday meeting of Potenciál at the end of May 2010 will be the halfway point of the course!
How is it going? It is a good point for assessment. Do you remember the prayer requests last year? Had we got it right? Were we hearing God? Would people book in? You remember we thought 35-40 was an ideal number and we are started with 38!
Looking back, we are so grateful to God that he led us – and it seems we got it right. Actually, the numbers have changed; after the first weekend the dad of one of our students and an old friend of mine asked to come on the course. And the last time we met (in April) I am quite sure there were a few who had not been with us before! So far, no one has pulled out of the course. Read on...

SMILE!
Despite snow, and even more snow we have at last completed the first weekend of the Potenciál course! Over 35 people from around the Czech Republic battled against the weather to arrive in Hradec Kralove and begin working together to develop their God-given potential in church work. Photo:Smile! Many thanks to all of you who prayed for us and the course. Your contribution is vital. From the word ‘go’ the whole weekend seemed to gel. Considering many of the people didn’t know anyone else in the group there was an amazing sense of unity. We are so grateful for the presence of the Holy Spirit with us and His working all things together for good. Read on for particular blessings [and photos].

The Conga during Ukrainian church service?!
Слава Богу! Ukraine? Really – well I never expected to go there!
For getting on for two years Rick Thomas, until recently leader of Worcester City Church has been asking me to join him on a trip to a group of churches in Southern Ukraine led by a guy called Viktor [maps.google.co.uk/maps]. There was a group of pastors there hungry to improve their leadership skills. When, finally Rick arranged a four-day conference to fit in with my diary, I knew I had to go. Trip to the Czech Republic and Ukraine
In November 2009 Dennis travelled to the Czech Republic and the Ukraine to speak at an Apostolic church and also assist in training at a pastors' conference. Please continue to pray that the Lord will give the church shepherds after His own heart, who will lead with knowledge & understanding [Jer 3v15]. His itinerary was as follows:
